he San Diego Enforcers Public Safety Football Team plays football to raise money for
chosen charities across San Diego. As a
member of the National Public Safety Football League (www.NPSFL.com), we compete
against other public safety football teams from across the country with a goal of raising
money. The money needed to maintain our organization and host several events
throughout the year are costly. We are hopeful to receive donations from various
sponsors. We sincerely appreciate representing a variety of distinct corporations and
markets as our team is comprised of a cross section of firefighters, paramedics, and law
enforcement throughout San Diego County. 2007 to 2009 was tremendously successful
as we raised awareness throughout the County of who we are as an organization and
our mission to raise money and awareness for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
The San Diego Enforcers are a 501(c) (3) charitable organization (Federal Tax ID # 20-
5305449). We believe fielding this team and supporting this endeavor is a tremendously
honorable and positive situation. First, we come together as law enforcement and
firefighter personnel from across the County, at all levels (Federal, State and Local). Second, this regional group of players greatly
fosters camaraderie that transcends to the football field and into our professions. Interdepartmental
cooperation and friendships enhance law enforcement work in many
ways across the County. Third, we believe that youth from around our County that have
or may one day develop negative attitudes towards our men and women of law
enforcement can identify with our sport and games. Put another way, watching law
enforcement play football is something that children can enjoy and alert them to the
fact that police are people that like to have fun too. In the past, under different
leadership and organization we have participated in these games and the feedback has
been outstanding.
